Cala Moltens beach. Hidden Beach

La Cala Moltons beach is a small beach which is accessed from the port of San Miguel by a trail.

Cala Moltons

Moltons Cove is a Cove in the North of the island, in the municipal term of Sant Joan. He is accessed through the Port of San Miguel, along the road from Santa Gertrudis to the same port. Don’t expect to find signs until you reach the beach of San Miguel. Once you are there, go to the left of the Creek, and just after the last restaurant find a cartel rather rustic showing the way. If you go with small children or people with some difficulty for the movement, discard the place, because the path that must travel is in poor condition, with many stones loose and suitable for any slip. After advancing about fifty meters uphill can stop to admire the spectacular scenery. From here he began a sharp decline towards the interior of the Cove.

Bath Area

We will find in Cala Moltens

In fact it is a small coat of about thirty meters of steep areas, ending in a small beach about twenty meters wide and just a meter or two of sand. We will find a couple of boathouses where some locals keep their boat, with the typical guides that reach the sea and allow to embark and disembark. Behind these huts we find a small plain to which they give shelter some pine trees. The shore is covered with rocks, presenting the same aspect to the interior where the slope is smooth until the end of the cove. Use special footwear when entering the water or extreme caution before any outgoing. In Cala Moltens you will not find any kind of service, so the cove lends itself to the visitors who wish to contemplate the nature in pure state, in which only some curious who come to investigate the cove interrupt the tranquility. In the background you can see the cliffs of the port of San Miguel, where there is a viewpoint from the very same cove.
